About the Gulf Coast Chapter

The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is rebuilding and reenergizing with the help of a dedicated and enthusiastic team of volunteers. Our chapter brings together environmental professionals from industry, consulting, government, and academia who share a commitment to advancing air quality management, environmental compliance, and sustainability across the greater Houston area.

Our goals focus on growth, engagement, and collaboration. We aim to increase membership by creating meaningful opportunities for professional development and connection, including regular technical luncheons on timely and relevant environmental topics. In addition, we plan to host Young Professional events, happy hours, and other networking opportunities to foster community among our members. We are also working to revive our scholarship program and strengthen relationships with local student chapters of A&WMA. Through these efforts, the Gulf Coast Chapter strives to deliver lasting value to its members while supporting A&WMA’s broader mission of environmental stewardship and technical excellence.
